John Loar co-founded Red Bird Cinema in 2007 along with St. Louis Cardinals manager Tony La Russa and actor Kevin Pollak. Loar has logged more than 20 years in senior management, with extensive experience in business development, operations, venture funding, mergers/acquisitions and real estate on behalf of companies and individuals such as JP Morgan-Chase, Blackhawk Corporation, ResCap, the Roda Group, Sandlot Venture Group, Kenneth E. Behring and David Duffield.

From 1987-1997, as Vice President of Blackhawk Corporation, Loar managed mergers and acquisitions, operations and corporate assets on behalf of the Blackhawk Corporation and Kenneth E. Behring. Most notably, Loar facilitated the transfer and sale of the NFL Seattle Seahawks from the Nordstrom family to Paul Allen in 1997.

Also in 1997, Loar co-founded Venture Builders with former Peoplesoft COO Peggy Taylor in Alamo, CA and Incline Village, NV. Venture Builders was a venture catalyst company for more than 20 start-up businesses focused on technology, sports and entertainment. Through Venture Builders, Loar successfully negotiated long-term contracts with ESPN, Sugar Ray Leonard Boxing and Disney Sports.
