Red Bird Cinema was founded in 2007 by John Loar, Tony La Russa and Kevin Pollak. It is now putting the pieces together to become a benchmark for newly-formed independent film and development companies. Red Bird Cinema is focused on developing and producing movies based on literary works. The company is based in the San Francisco Bay Area and will be opening a Los Angeles-area office in spring, 2008.
